The Harwood Group was founded by James Richardson to help business owners navigate one of the most important transitions of their lives: selling their businesses.

With extensive experience in business acquisition, running businesses, and leading teams, James takes pride in investing in businesses that serve as the lifeblood of the economy.

Previously, James was the Director of PwC's market-leading Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Southeastern USA. He handled $2bn+ of M&A transactions, with 500+ jobs saved, and has a wide range of experience, including turnaround consulting, restructuring, cash flow forecasting, and debt and capital optimization.

Originally from the UK and now a U.S. citizen, James has had the privilege of working across four continents, 10+ countries, and a wide range of industries.

James is a committed Christian and tries in all he does to manage his companies, teams, and employees with the same principles of integrity and stewardship that guide his own life.

James is married with three children and lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his family and their French bulldog, Tony.
